For Honor is a 2017 motion video game designed and published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game permits players to play the roles of documented forms of soldiers and warriors, such as knights, samurai, and Vikings, controlled using a third-person perspective. The game was developed mainly by Ubisoft Montreal and released worldwide in 2017. The last class, “Hybrid”, connects two of the three types and can use superior skills. For Honor is a motion fighting game set in a medieval fiction setting. Players can recreate a character from one of five additional factions, namely the Iron Legion (Knights), Warriors, Dawn Empire (Samurai), and Wu Lin (Ancient Chinese). A fifth section was added in January 2022, called the Outlander coalition, which only carries one character at the moment. The Wu Lin section was added to the Marching Fire expansion in October 2018. The Vanguard class is “well level” and has excellent offence and defence.

The tactical battle system, known as the “Art of Battle”, is triggered when the player faces other players or AI similar to players in multiplayer or AI with higher health in the campaign.
Participants enter a battle mode with them, aiming their weapons at their enemy. Players can then choose how to position and place their weapons from three directions (top, right and left) when attacking their enemies.
By observing their opponents’ on-screen hints and activities that reflect their respective attack positions, players can choose the correct place to block other players’ attacks.
Players also have different special abilities that vary depending on their chosen character, such as slamming into enemies with their arms and performing backswings. The players can also decide the strength of each attack. The system aims to allow players to “feel the weight of the weapon in their hand.”
