The Deep is an animated TV series based on the Gestalt Comics comic book created by Tom Taylor and James Brouwer. The series’ creators are Robert Chandler, optioned by Technicolor and produced by A Stark Production of Australia and the Canadian animation studio Nerd Corps Entertainment. It premiered on 7two on December 1, 2015, and began broadcasting on Family Chrgd the following month. The announcement of The Deep’s third instalment was on February 8, 2018. The premise of the show focuses on Underwater Exploration. The series follows the Nektons, a family of daring underwater explorers who live aboard the Aronnax, an advanced submarine that explores unknown areas of the Earth’s oceans to unravel the mysteries of the depths. Will Nekton’s parents went missing while attempting to solve the mystery of how to reach the lost city of Lemuria, and the Nektons have refused to abandon it.
