About
Dave Wasson created The Cuphead Show! It is a Netflix animated slapstick streaming television series based on the 2017 Canadian video game Cuphead by Studio MDHR. Cuphead creators Chad and Jared Moldenhauer serve as executive producers. CJ Kettler and Wasson from King Features Syndicate and Cosmo Segurson serve as co-executive producers.
The Cuphead Show! was released worldwide on February 18, 2022, to generally positive reviews from critics. Despite criticism for its short episodes (around 15 minutes each) and lack of good writing, the show was praised for its impressive visuals.
The show revolves around two brothers, Cuphead and Mugman. They discover the Devil plotting to steal souls through a skeeball game at a local carnival. Cuphead, the impulsive player, loses his soul due to losing the game, but his brother is always by his side, trying to protect him no matter what.

The Cuphead Show Season 3 Release date
The show launched in 2019 on Netflix. However, neither Netflix nor the company executives would disclose the number of seasons that will make up the series. This created confusion among the fans of the show regarding its ending.
However, before the first season’s release, we learned that Netflix had ordered a total of 37 episodes for the series. The First season had 12 episodes, and Season 2 had 13 episodes, making a total of 25 episodes. Therefore we can safely assume that Season 3 will have a total of 12 episodes.
The official release date of the third season is not confirmed as of now. However, we can guess The Cuphead Show Season 3 Release date is based on the time between the first and second seasons. With this calculation, we can assume that The Cuphead Show! Season 3 will be released six months later, probably in February or March of 2023.
Regarding certain shows, Netflix places an initial order for a more significant number of episodes, which are then organized into “parts” or seasons. It appears that this is the case with The Cuphead Show. Furthermore, the series appears to be popular, much like the game on which it is based, as it was included in the line-up for Netflix’s most recent Geeked Week event.
Netflix has significantly reduced the animated content on its platform, and it is very difficult to imagine Netflix cancelling this show, at least without giving it a proper farewell with a final season.
Moreover, The Cuphead Show has the potential to become a mainstay in Netflix’s animation department due to its already popular game. We pray and hope that Netflix decides to continue with the show, as fans would be highly disappointed if it’s cancelled.

The Plot of The Cuphead Show Season 3
The show is not some fairytale dreamland fantasy in which only good happens to the protagonists. The show’s beauty is that it will depict both the good and bad things that happen to the brothers.
Cuphead is impulsive and usually makes rash decisions, but Mugman is the cautious one and always sticks to his brother’s side and gets him out of trouble. We will be curious to see how they interact with each other, given their different natures and ways of dealing with problems. They both want to have fun in their world and to support and help each other when necessary.
The show’s best part is that it is a musical, so that everything will have a beat! This makes the show even more likeable, and we can laugh and sing alongside these characters.
Other than the two main characters, several other characters will add to the brothers’ fun and adventures, particularly when the Devil comes to mess with them.
However, due to a lack of confirmation of The Cuphead Show! Season 3, we cannot be sure what the storyline will be. However, based on the previous two seasons, we can safely assume that Season 3 will follow in its footsteps.
That said, it’s difficult to predict what will happen until the people who made it make an official announcement. However, we can be confident that the new season is hilarious, musical, and full of exciting new adventures.
The Cuphead Show Season 3 Trailer

We are hopeful that with the new adventures that the season will bring, it will be highly musical and exciting. There has been no update on the Season 3 trailer however, we predict that the trailer will be released days before the launch of Season 3
FAQ’s
Is The Cuphead Show Kid Friendly?
TLDR: The answer is yes. The series is based on video games and primarily focuses on the younger audience. The show has a rating of TV-Y7, which means it is appropriate for children over the age of seven. Showrunners Chad and Jared Moldenhauer have stated that the series is suitable for children. However, they also stated that it is appropriate for adults. Furthermore, the episodes are separate and do not blend into one another so that children will have no trouble following the plot.
With all this said, it is very important to note that this is a slapstick comedy, which means there is a lot of animated violence. Some characters are also rude in certain scenes, while others, like the Devil, are pure evil. Nonetheless, the show contains no sexual content, so it is pretty safe for children above seven years.
Why does The Cuphead Show appear to be outdated?
The animators also used stop motion animation in some scenes, such as the opening shot of Cuphead, Mugman, and Elder Kettle’s house, to give them a vintage feel. These shots were inspired by Fleischer Studios’ Golden Age shorts, which used 3D sets for panning shots.
Is Cuphead is a boy or a girl?
Cuphead is a boy who appears to be a risk-taker. He is portrayed as the more self-assured, fun-loving, and slightly cheeky type. In contrast to his twin brother, he frequently takes significant risks.
