Thagora Acquires Leading Seating Material Company by LEAR

May 19, 2022/PRNewswire/Southfield, Mich.— As a global leader in automotive seating and electronic systems, Lear Corporation (NYSE: LEA) announced today that it has acquired Thagora Technology SRL, a privately held business situated in Iasi, Romania, that is focused on hardware and software for material use.

Thagora’s unique technologies will complement Lear’s sustainable manufacturing methods by minimizing scrap and lowering energy consumption throughout production. Thagora’s Industry 4.0 technology also improves industrial operations through engineering and logistics, such as better material traceability and better usage of facility footprints.
