The federal technology ecosystem is currently being stressed by a lack of high-quality computer chips and other supply chain limitations, all of which are occurring at the same time as the federal government is undergoing a digital transformation drive.
However, in this episode of Project 38, World Wide Technology’s public sector chief, Bryan Thomas, explains to the presenter Ross Wilkers that private firms are going through many of the same dynamics as government entities.
According to Thomas, the most significant distinction is found in the tools and methods available to businesses to handle those obstacles. Thomas believes that this is largely a question of policy and purchasing processes inside the government.
He also triangulates the relationships between technology, talent, and investment, with the goal of both moving government information technology systems into the modern era and getting more people into the public sector ecosphere.
