For the purpose of enhancing the digital asset custodian’s technological capabilities, omainu has appointed Pete Stephens as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Under Stephens’ new stewardship, Komainu’s existing technology offerings will be improved, and the company’s custody service offerings will be expanded.
Since leaving SIX Digital Exchange as its head of technology in 2013, Stephens has worked in a variety of roles in global financial services, particularly in institutional finance technology.
According to Henson Orser, president of Komainu, “to keep up with client demand as well as the growing digital asset ecosystem, Komainu has made a commitment to building a strong and experienced C-suite.”
Following Matthew Chamberlin’s appointment as CEO just over a month ago and Pete Stephens’ long history of experience in financial services technology, we have made another significant hire in Pete Stephens.
It’s exciting to be part of the team building Komainu’s custody solutions that meet the security, transparency, and reporting standards set in place by financial institutions, “Stephens continues.
Thanks to my close collaboration with the team, Komainu’s industry-leading offering will be expanded, and the gap between traditional financial instruments and digital assets will be even narrower.
