How to increase FP in Elden Ring
Here are some ways to increase FP Elden ring:
1: Find specific Crystal Tears for your Physick
If you have played Elden ring for quite some time, you might have heard of the Flask of Wonderous Physick. It is basically an ordinary flask, just like any other flasks you have, but you have the ability to customize them with specific items that you find around the world. There are some Crystal Tears that you can use to modify and customize the flask. These are extremely important as an extra flask for you if you are in trouble.
There is a crystal that fills half of your entire bar with FP and another crystal that stops the usage of any FP for about 15 seconds. You can find both of them and fill the whole FP bar with each drink. You only get a single drink from the flask within each rest, and you must use it cautiously.
2: Increase the level of your Mind attribute
The attribute of Mind primarily influences FP, which is identical to Mana or MP in other titles. The more points a character has in Mind, the larger their focus pool and the more spells they can cast before needing to recharge. The mind Attribute also influences the Focus Body Stat. This improves a player’s resistance to Madness and Sleep effects.
You will need a pretty high Mind level to be able to cast some specific spells. Summoning also takes a decent amount of FP. However, ensure a good balance among all your stats, and you aren’t just upgrading one stat too much while ignoring the others. Always keep the FP bar filled so you are ready for your subsequent encounter. As your mind level increases, you won’t need to fill the bar too often.
3: Use Focus Pool-boosting Talismans
There are a lot of FP-boosting Talismans that will help you on your adventures in the Elden ring. As you know, you can only have a total of 4 Talismans equipped. Try these around and find out which Talismans are best for your build. If you tend to take damage a lot, you obviously want to stay away from the Talismans that reduce other stats for the sake of Mind.
If you don’t want to get nerfed, use the Talismans that give all the bonuses without many weaknesses. Here is a list of all the FP-boosting Talismans:
Cerulean Seed Talisman: Boosts FP renewal from Flask of Cerulean Tears
Cerulean Amber Medallion: Raises maximum FP
Marika’s Scarseal: Raises Mind, faith, intelligence, arcane, but also increases damage received
Preceptor’s Big Hat: Increases mind with loss of stamina
Navy Hood: Increases mind
Assassin’s Cerulean Dagger: Critical hits renew FP
Glintstone Scarab: Lowers FP consumed by enchantments but increases damage received
4: Use items that decrease FP usage
Some items, including Talismans and crystals, will decrease the usage of your FP flasks. A Talisman reduces FP usage by 20%, which is one of the top items in the game. You can get it from the giant in front of the Caria Manor.
You will need to defeat a few chief bosses to unlock it in his shop, which will let you purchase the Talisman from him for 5,000 Runes. This may sound like a huge investment, but trust me, it’s worth it. There aren’t really many other items that are good for reducing FP usage. However, these will be your best options if you rely too much on spells and deplete all your FP.
