Despite the public’s obsession with the young Hollywood pair, Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart kept most of their two-year romance and subsequent breakup private. But, in a new GQ interview released today, Sprouse opens up on what their chemistry was like behind the scenes and how he battled privately with the fame and attention Riverdale heaped on him and his romances.
Sprouse and Reinhart’s relationship came concluded in August 2020. As of today, Sprouse is now in a relationship with model Ari Fournier.
Despite “all this public currency” around Reinhart and Sprouse’s relationship, what he and Reinhart shared was “as authentic as it gets,” he told GQ. Not that he wants to, but Sprouse believes he can’t talk about his romance with Fournier. “Followers report everything about Ari and me as bullying, and it gets removed quite quickly,” he explained. “It’s also taken down on my other friends’ accounts.”
Reinhart stated in August 2020 that she wanted to keep her separation experience private. “I would never speak so openly about something as private as a breakup,” she explained. “That’s quite private.”
