ClearShark has acquired FedBiz IT Solutions, a fellow information technology product reseller, which gives the buyer access to a number of government-wide contracting opportunities.
FedBiz IT Solutions will initially operate as a subsidiary after the close of the transaction, which was announced on Tuesday but did not include financial terms.
Among the vehicles in FedBiz IT Solutions’ portfolio are NASA SEWP V, Army ITES-SW2, Army ADMC-3, and a blanket purchase agreement with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
ClearShark, based in Hanover, Maryland, was founded in 2001 and specialises in cybersecurity, data center and cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and the security-focused software development practice known as “DevSecOps.”
ClearShark President Brian Strosser said in a release. “The addition of FedBiz IT’s contracts capability and portfolio is particularly complementary and a natural extension of ClearShark’s focus on architecting solutions that help federal agencies drive their modernization efforts and protect against cyber threats.”
Our annual Fast 50 list, which ranks the government market’s fastest-growing small businesses by their compound annual growth rates over the preceding five years, placed FedBiz IT Solutions at the top of the list in both 2016 and 2017.
The FedBiz IT Solutions team’s win of a seat on NASA SEWP V was a significant moment in the company’s history.
WT quoted Tiaga as saying in 2017: “We’ve focused strictly on making that contract successful for us.” To be successful, you must work hard and maintain good relationships with manufacturers, customers, and other resellers. There are over 160 contracts on this list.
