Diaz, star of the “Charlie’s Angels” and “There’s Something About Mary” franchises, said that only Jamie Foxx can convince her to return to movies.
Hollywood star Cameron Diaz is out of retirement for “Back In Action,” a Netflix movie with Jamie Foxx.
The project recombines Diaz and Foxx, who worked together on the 1999 sports drama “Any Given Sunday” and the 2014 remake of “Annie,” which was Diaz’s last film role before “retiring.”
Foxx made the announcement on social media, where he posted audio of an interview between him, Diaz, and NFL star Tom Brady.
“I don’t know how to do it, you know?” Diaz, who officially confirmed her retirement from Hollywood in 2018, says in the clip.
Brady replies, “I talked to Jamie, and he said you need some tips on how to retire. And I’m relatively successful at retirement.” Brady, who won six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots, retired earlier this year but returned to the field a few weeks later.
