After almost 20 years of their on and off love story, actor Ben Affleck,49 and actor-singer Jennifer Lopez, 52, finally got married in Las Vegas. The two lovebirds had a break-up for a long time.
However, they couldn’t stay apart for much longer. Eventually, they rekindled their relationship last year and got married on July 16.
According to Lopez, Ben Affleck got down on one knee and proposed to the Love of his life love the second time while she was taking a bubble bath.
The second time was the charm for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. The pair announced their wedding in a newsletter from Lopez, revealing that they flew to the desert city of Las Vegas in Nevada to obtain a marriage license and got married at a chapel late Saturday, according to People Magazine.
They got the marriage license in their name from Clark County, dated Saturday, July 16.
A major sign that the revived lovers were full-speed ahead in their relationship came in June of 2022 when they supposedly paid tens of millions of dollars on a new love nest. The couple moved into the mansion with a movie theatre and ample room for their blended family.
Following their Second-time engagement in April, sources assumed “Bennifer” was hopeful for a “destination” wedding very shortly. The bustling city and bright lights of Vegas definitely qualify as a destination.
“Love is beautiful. Love is caring. And as it turns out, Love is patient. Twenty years patient. Just what we wanted,” Lopez said in the newsletter, the outlet reported. This newsletter was signed “Mrs Jennifer Lynn Affleck”. This is confirmation that Jennifer Lopez, popularly called JLo, has taken up her husband’s name.
Shortly after, Lopez posted a photo on Instagram showing her in a bed while wearing a silver wedding ring.
The duo was lovingly called “Bennifer” since they were dating. The pair first met in 2002 while filming the ill-fated Gigli. The same year, they got engaged. Affleck proposed to Lopez with a large 6.1-carat pink diamond engagement ring.
Unfortunately, they broke off the relationship around a year later. They each moved on and finally got married and had children with other people.
Affleck married Jennifer Garner, with whom he has three children — Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10. Affleck and Garner got divorced in 2018.
Jennifer Lopez has 14-year-old twins Max and Emme from her marriage to Marc Anthony, which dissolved in 2011. Just weeks before Bennifer revived their romance in 2021, the Boy next door called off her engagement to former New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez. They had been dating since 2017.
The blending of the couple’s families appears to be moving pretty seamless too. Jennifer Garner was seemingly supportive of her ex’s reconciliation with JLo. And according to sources, she found happiness with her longtime boyfriend, John Miller. Jennifer Lopez’s daughter, Emme, was even photographed at a school function with Garner. And we love this.
