A video on social media led Lil Durk to perform as what seemed to be pyrotechnics burst in front of him. On Sunday, the rapper posted a photo of himself on Instagram with gauze obscuring his right eye.

He only called what occurred an “incident” and did not deliver comprehensive details.

“Due to the incident that happened on stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago, I will be pausing to focus on my fitness,” he said in the post. “Yesterday, I finished my skit for my fans. I respect you.
