Arin Hanson Controversy

Arin Hanson Controversy: Arin Joseph Hanson is commonly known as Egoraptor on the Internet. Arin is an American Internet Sensation, animator and voice actor. He is known for his animations, co-creation, and co-starring in the popular YouTube Let’s Play web series Game Grumps. He’s also a member of the video game parody musical group Starbomb.

On his Egoraptor YouTube channel, Hanson has created a number of animated web series, including The Awesome Series. In this, he parodies various video game franchises such as Pokémon, Ninja Gaiden and Metal Gear. He also created Sequelitis which is a series of animated video essays. In these, he critically and humorously compares the quality of a video game and one of its sequels.

Arin has also done voice work for a number of TV episodes and computer games. He frequently works with Ninja Sex Party. This is a musical comedy duo made up of his Game Grumps and Starbomb collaborators Dan Avidan and Brian Wecht, contributing guest vocals and starring in some of their music videos.

Controversy

Game Grumps’ producers have apologised for “harmful language and hurtful jokes” posted in the series’ early years. They stated that they are “truly f***ing sorry” for stuff they no longer find appropriate.

Game Grumps, which is currently hosted by Arin Hanson and Dan Avidan but previously included controversial videomaker Jon ‘JonTron’ Jafari,’ tweeted their support for Black Lives Matter as well as a list of charities to which they have donated. They also acknowledged their earlier history in their remarks.

“We shouldn’t have had to make these kinds of mistakes to improve, and we shouldn’t have hurt individuals to learn,” the statement says. “You should also not have had to wait this long for a formal apology.” We thought that simply prohibiting such behaviour would suffice. But we now see that the pain of those affected should be acknowledged, and the matter deserves to be discussed openly.”

Arin Hanson ControversyArin and JonTron started Game Grumps as a YouTube Let’s Play channel. It has since evolved into a multimedia firm that covers video games, music, and book publishing. After a year of co-hosting the show with Arin, JonTron left Game Grumps in 2013 and was replaced by Dan, who has remained with the firm ever since.

Some of Game Grumps’ previous content starring Jon was far more contentious than their current production. Fans started compiling instances of Arin and Jon shouting racist slurs during their playthroughs. Jon was later involved in a different issue after appearing on a broadcast where he mimicked white nationalist talking points after quitting the show. Later, on the H3 Podcast, he said he “could have articulated a lot of that better” but maintained he was not racist.

Jon’s leaving sparked conjecture. The later conflicts surrounding him led many to believe that his departure was motivated by these ideas. However, neither Game Grumps nor Jon has expressly stated the reasons behind the breakup. However, Jon had hinted that he desired to focus on generating videos for his own YouTube channel.
